Petroleum Engineering for Non-Engineers
One of our more popular classes covers a lot in 2 days. Also has been combined with our Petroleum Geology for Non Geologists course to give attendees an extensive background in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry.

We designed this course as a follow up to our The Petroleum Industry and Petroleum Reserves & Economic Fundamentals courses. This "hands on" class will enhanced the more experienced non-engineer's knowledge about how to use their technical tools to find more oil & gas and produce it more cheaply. It is taught in a manner that allows attendees to understand these concepts without having a technical background. The material applies to both natural gas and oil perspectives.
This class is intended for engineering/geo techs, accounting, & financial professionals, non-engineering management, landmen & land techs, outside directors and others. Attendees will work numerous in-class exercises to illustrate these methods. Participants will become much more comfortable when conversing with engineers & managers about these technical subjects.
Those attending will work a case study that takes a drilling prospect from selecting a location, basic planning, AFE, reserve estimates based upon offset well data (P/z, decline curves, well logs, tests, etc.) through the economic model preparation including the major input data including risk.
Although we discuss technical subjects, we present them in a way that does not require attendees to have a technical background. Participants will work several in class exercises on each of the major subjects presented.
